Cutlip, Center, and Broom's Four-Step PR Process is a widely used framework for structuring public relations campaigns:
- Step 1 โ Defining PR Problems: Situational/SWOT analysis. Answers: “What's happening now?”
- Step 2 โ Planning and Programming: Strategy development. Answers: “What should we do and say, and why?”
- Step 3 โ Taking Action and Communicating: Implementation. Answers: “How and when do we do and say it?”
- Step 4 โ Evaluating the Program: Final assessment. Answers: “How did we do?”
Tools used in this process include focus groups, surveys, interviews, press releases, brochures, web sites, media packs, video news releases, news conferences, and in-house publications. The four-step framework reflects the scientific approach to PR โ treating communication as a planned, measurable process rather than ad hoc publicity.
Alam Ara (1931), directed by Ardeshir Irani for Imperial Film Company, holds the distinction of being India's first talkie film (a film with a recorded sound track). It was released on 14 March 1931 at Bombay's Majestic Cinema. The film was 10,500 feet long, ran for seven weeks, contained seven songs, and was a romantic costume drama. Its success proved that there was a huge market for “talkies and musicals,” and the entire film industry quickly switched to sound production. Note: Ardeshir Irani also directed Kisan Kanya (1937), which was the first colour film (Option A is therefore incorrect). The first silent feature film of the subcontinent was Raja Harishchandra (1913) by Dadasaheb Phalke. The first Pakistani film after independence was Teri Yaad (1948).
Depolarization of the postsynaptic membrane is caused by diffusion of which ion?
Depolarization occurs when Naโบ enters the postsynaptic neuron (excitatory postsynaptic potential). Clโป influx causes hyperpolarization (inhibitory). Caยฒโบ triggers neurotransmitter release, not directly depolarization.
