What was your interview experience of CSS?

My CSS Inverview Experience;

Interview ka day honestly bohat weird tha. Sab log tense thay, kuch newspaper le kr ghoom rahay thay jaise world politics unhi ne sambhalni ho. Khair, environment hi aisa hota hai CSS interviews ka. Mujhe exact yaad bhi nhi k kis panel member ne konsa question pocha, so bas important cheezain hi bata raha hun.

Questions mix thay. IR, current affairs, medical background, history, Middle East, constitution, personal life, psychology form sab kuch touch hua. Kuch questions easy thay, kuch bilkul out of syllabus lag rahay thay.

Sab se pehle handwriting pe baat hui. Ek member ne bola meri writing achi hai aur pocha calligraphy krta hun kya. Maine hans k bola log usually ye kehte hain k dekhne me achi hai but parhna mushkil hota hai. Panel hans diya aur atmosphere thora light ho gaya.

Phir medical side pe aa gaye. Cancer k cases Pakistan me kyun barh rahay hain. Bas phir jo yaad aya bolta gaya. Lifestyle, smoking, pollution, delayed diagnosis, awareness ki kami, health system issues etc. Lag raha tha community medicine ka pura chapter suna diya ho. Wo log calmly sunte rahay. Usi time confidence thora build hua k chalo apni field to achi handle ho rahi hai.

Phir medical ethics pe sawal aya. Wahan bhi kaafi bola. Doctors ki responsibilities, patient rights, corruption, pressure in hospitals, practical issues waghera. Mujhe feel hua k panel ko ye cheez pasand ayi k banda apni field ka kuch to janta hai.

Books pe bhi baat hui. Panelist ne notice kiya k jo favourite authors likhe thay unme zyada female writers thin. Unhon ne bola unko ye dekh k khushi hui. Maine simple bola ye intentional nhi tha, jo names dimagh me aye likh diye. Aur writing ko gender basis pe divide nhi krna chahiye. Wo smile kr k bole phir bhi acha laga sun k.

Oil politics aur Russia pe bhi discussion hua. Maine jitna knowledge tha sab nikal diya. Alliances, oil dependency, power politics etc. Ek member ne bola k “your knowledge is impressive”. Sach bolun to us sentence ne half stress khatam kr diya tha.

Ek bohat ajeeb political question bhi aya. Itna complicated tha k mujhe khud samajh nhi ayi exact pooch kya rahay hain. Panelist ne bola wo khud bohat research kr chuke hain us topic pe. Maine seedha bola k agar aap jese experienced person ko answer nhi mila ab tak to mujh se expect krna mushkil hai. Sab hans diye. Wo bhi smile krne lag gaye.

JFK assassination pe bhi lambi baat hui. Herbert Hoover ka bhi zikr aya but honestly mujhe us angle ka zyada nhi pata tha. To maine conspiracy theories me jane ki bajaye official findings aur court side ko pakar liya. Jo pata tha usi pe tikay raha. Panelist pura convince nhi hua but discussion smoothly chalti rahi.

Ek question Arundhati Roy pe tha. Compare krne ko bola dusre writers k sath jin ko maine properly parha hi nhi tha. Maine straight bola k comparison honestly nhi kr sakta but Arundhati Roy mujhe sirf writing ki wajah se nhi pasand. Phir unki personality aur views pe baat kr di. Somehow answer bach gaya.

End me ek funny question aya. Pocha agar TV pe news aaye k kisi ne pani pe chalne wali car bana li hai to reaction kya hoga. Maine foran bola “TV band kr dunga.” Poora panel zor se hans para. Baad me bola zyada candidates science explain krne lag jatay hain jab k sirf reaction pocha gaya tha.

Interview k end pe thora casual mood ho gaya. Ek member ne bola lagta hai tum apni mother ko zyada prefer krte ho because wo doctor hain aur tum bhi doctor ban gaye. Maine bola dono parents army se bhi thay, aur maine army join nhi ki, to shayad dono ko hi zyada pasand nhi krta. Phir sab hansne lag gaye. Kisi ne bola “smart boy”.

Overall interview utna scary nhi tha jitna log bana dete hain. Haan pressure hota hai but sab kuch knowledge pe hi depend nhi krta. Kabhi confidence kaam aa jata hai, kabhi humour, aur kabhi sirf ye k banda panic na kare. Har sawal ka perfect answer dena zaroori nhi hota. Kabhi kabhi bas situation handle krni hoti hai.
